Memphis Inn stands as a budget-friendly option nestled in a quiet, mostly residential area at 4879 American Way, Memphis, TN. Rated at three stars, it caters primarily to travelers seeking basic accommodations without the frills of luxury. The inn offers essential amenities such as free Wi-Fi and free parking, making it a practical choice for visitors who value convenience and accessibility. However, guests looking for leisure facilities will find no pool, restaurant, or fitness center on the premises.
While the location is suitable for those interested in exploring discount shopping plazas and casual dining in the surrounding neighborhood, the overall experience at Memphis Inn appears mixed. Reviews highlight respectful and welcoming service from staff, yet reveal significant concerns regarding cleanliness and maintenance. One guest noted issues like writing and holes on the walls, a roach infestation, lack of daily bed sheet changes, and insecure door locks—a serious consideration for travelers prioritizing safety and hygiene.
On the positive side, the pricing structure is clear and flexible, offering options such as $30 for a three-hour stay or $65 for an entire night, making it an affordable stopover for short visits or overnight needs. Yet, from a personal perspective, the value offered by Memphis Inn does not outweigh some of the discomfort and security lapses reported by guests.
In conclusion, Memphis Inn serves as a no-frills lodging choice that fulfills basic shelter and connectivity demands but falls short in delivering a consistently comfortable and secure environment. Potential visitors should weigh these factors carefully against their expectations and specific needs during their stay in Memphis.

Respectful and welcoming service. Huge downside with the room, writing and holes on/in the walls. There is a bad roach infestation, the hotel staff does NOT change the bedsheets everyday. Some of the locks on the room door are broken off and are easy to unlock.
I mean ya can't go wrong if you need a shower! $30 for 3 hours or $65 a night.
Mostly residential area with discount shopping plazas & assorted casual restaurants.
